Indian Education System

The world says that India has got a good education system. But when confronted with an Indian student he/she will tell that this country has got a bad education system. Why there are such conflicting opinions about Indian education system? If we analyze deeply we will get only one answer. Indian educational system emphasizes more on memorizing. Because of this reason the memory retaining capacity of the student increases and Indian student takes in more data than other students. But there is a problem in this system, since more emphasize is given on memorizing he student loses his thinking capacity thereby his creative power goes down. Because of this reason many Indian students feel that our education system is not up to the mark. Only marks are given more weight age than the thinking capacity of the students. This must change both the memorizing and thinking capacity should be improved in order to get the right balance.
