India has finally managed to get three medals in the Olympics. It is a proud moment for all of us because this is the first time India is getting three medals in a single Olympics. A nation which has a population of 1000 million is capable of getting only three medals in Olympics. It’s very disheartening to hear this. And adding more fuel to the fire every one of us is celebrating this moment. I am not trying to take away the glory from the medal winners they deserve more than a normal applause. But at the same time we have to think about our failure in many sports. Even though we have talent pool in our country we cannot get more medals in international events. Countries which have less population and poor economy have got more gold medals than India. If those countries can do it why cant us? It’s the time for citizens like us to think. If we are happy with three medals then India will have to fight for the bottom places in the medal tally but if we take the correct steps now then in future games we may top the medals tally.
